Colonoscopy in North Lakes
Dr Goutham Sivasuthan provides colonoscopy and gastroscopy at North Lakes Day Hospital, serving Moreton Bay and northern Brisbane — with no-gap care for insured patients and fixed, all-inclusive self-funded pricing for those without insurance.
North Lakes is the hub for Moreton Bay and Brisbane’s northern growth corridor. Having colonoscopy and gastroscopy available here means patients from Redcliffe to Narangba avoid the trip into the city — and it is one of the two sites offering fixed, all-inclusive self-funded pricing.

Colonoscopy and endoscopy in North Lakes
Your first appointment is a consultation with Dr Goutham to review your symptoms, history and bowel-cancer risk. If a colonoscopy or gastroscopy is appropriate, it is performed under gentle sedation by Dr Goutham himself — never delegated.
For self-funded patients, North Lakes Day Hospital is a fixed-price site: the published price covers the facility, specialist and anaesthetist in a single, transparent fee.
One specialist, every step
From your first consultation through your procedure to your follow-up, you see the same specialist — an Australian-trained general and endoscopic surgeon with GESA accreditation in both gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Your procedure day at North Lakes
North Lakes procedures are done at North Lakes Day Hospital, a purpose-built day-surgery centre with free on-site parking — an easy option for Moreton Bay families who’d rather not drive into the city and hunt for a park.
This is one of our fixed-price package sites. If you don’t have private health insurance, the all-inclusive package covers the hospital, the anaesthetist and Dr Goutham’s fee, so you know the full cost before the day. Insured patients are typically no-gap.
You’ll arrive at a set time for admission and a pre-procedure check with the anaesthetist. Dr Goutham performs the procedure personally under sedation, then talks you through the findings once you’re awake and comfortable in recovery. A written report goes to your GP the same day.
Sedation means you cannot drive home. Arrange for someone to collect you and stay with you overnight; plan to take the rest of the day off. Most people are back to normal the next morning.
